Gaurunteed, 95% of people with 4x4s use 2wd 95% of the time. They don’t need it

I had a 4WD truck for 4 years. Used the 4WD system ONCE. Only off roading I did was thru dirt roads and occasionally mud but never got stuck in 2wd. Decided to sell it and buy a 2wd and now i save so much money at the pump and without worrying on 4wd servicing …..

4x4 is like insurance. I don’t always need it, but it’s better to have it and not need it vs. needing it and not have it. I live in PA so I drive through all 4 seasons

I have a 2wd that sees more off road and work than anyone I’ve met with 4wd. Most have to go looking for a reason to use 4wd.

Depends on what you are doing. For me, I got to have 4wd. Snow and driving trails around the mountains. Most people think 2wd suck because you dont have the front differential however, less components which means most 2wd vehicle can tow a little more than a 4wd. Again, depends on what you are doing. If you're towing on dirt roads, loose gravel, most of the time like in a construction area, you'll probably want 4wd during days where it rain or snow. I live in Virginia and we have steep hills and a lot of backroads. Roads can be narrow too. If you're doing construction or need to pull off the main road into a ditch or an unpaved road, you may need 4wd to get out. If you're just towing and doing highway or on the road work, 2wd is fine. Now for lifting a 2wd or 4wd, I don't hate people lifting a 2wd. It's their money and their truck. But if they get stuck, I'll just have a little laugh before I offer to help tow them out lol. But seriously, it's a preference thing. Not all people have the same expectation and lifestyle

For the same reason that you don't drive a 4x4 on 4x4 all the time

Question is why would most of you buy a 4x4 just to take it camping.. you paid 10 thousand $more for the truck to run it through a puddle of mud lmao.. shout out to those who are really about that off road life tho 💯

When a 4wd gets stuck, they still need a winch. I just cut out the $10k middle man 😂

Why would you lift a 2wd? Why not? As long as it’s not front wheel drive.

Honestly if I didn't live in the Midwest I would be fine with just having a 2wd, but I do, however, live in the Midwest. 4wd has saved my ass from getting stuck in the snow and ice more times than I could possibly count haha
