The only reason Fukushima failed was a severe earthquake, the only reason Chernobyl melted down was negligent safety drills, and the only reason three mile island had issues was because an undetected value was leaking coolant from the core and the staff cut off all pumps of water into the core. Fission is now much more safer than the technology we had in the 70’s and 80’s. Fusion is a new much safer direction in nuclear energy. It is best to continue with nuclear energy since it is vastly more efficient and not killing tens of thousands potential hundreds of thousands of people each year from pollution related deaths.
