Thanks a lot I bought a KA-BAR Dozier after watching your EDC video. Great budget knife way less then a Benchmade. Very light in the pocket just a great EDC knife.

That knife is the dozier spearpoint, mine is pink, laugh if you must but no one freaks when i take it out in public, plus it has kept me from losing it after dropping it in the woods once or twice, its a great little knife, especially for edc since its so thing and light

I have a version of that knife. It has a stiff deployment and the pocket clip doesn’t have enough flex. Go with the Bugout and put it in a pocket organizer like the Arc Company or Hitch & Timber that way there is less chance of you losing stuff if they are kept together in an organizer.

I am a fan of the budget gear. Let's be honest, we misuse it and lose it. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on stuff I treat like that.

I have the same notebook as you, but it’s lined and I use it for passwords not edc. For edc I use a Rite in the Rain 24 page stapled notebook. It is the smallest one they make, which is great because I don’t need anything larger. I used to use a Field Notes notebook, but they are larger than I need and don’t hold up to the abuse I put them through. Specifically, the binding on them is made of thin cardboard like material that rips along the seam. The Rite in the Rain notebook is smaller and uses a better cover material that doesn’t rip as easily.

Very true about the knife. I have a $30 Honey Badger. It's medium size and more than enough for basic tasks. Its very light and if I lose it then oh well.

Now that’s a budget edc... not a “ this flashlight only cost $200.00” budget... thanks for the vid brother

Check out the wowtac a6 on amazon, it’s a budget flashlight that’s very durable, rechargeable and water proof for about $30. Also it’s turbo mode puts out 1460 lumens, it‘d make a great edc.

Love the budget. Surprised you don't have a Ganzo Firebird blade. Quality and budget friendly.

Have you considered spending the $20+ to buy a refillable EDC pen? I know you're a budget guy, so my recommendation would be the $22 Fisher Space Bullet pen. It's compact, nice-looking, and you can buy refills when you run out.

Galaxy 10 has a headphone jack. If you don't really need the pen, it's easier to carry too since it's a smaller phone.

You've probably checked out a few by now, but if you want an assisted opening knife, Kershaw has a lot of options under $50. See them a lot at Big 5, sometimes Walmart. Nothing wrong with AUS8 though. Bugout is nice, but if you're able to sharpen and wipe down your blade on a regular basis, the fancier steels aren't necessary. You said you tend to lose knives, who wants a $150 knife if they know they will lose it!
