You should include the down size of it. In case it rises way above your strike price and then you’ll have the option of buying it back for a lot more or just let it expire and miss out on potential gains.

wouldnt it be the same if you wouldve let it expire since its no where near the strike price? dont you only have to sell if the covered call strike price sold is greater than the stock price ?
