Kirstine, wonderful video as usual - I was laughing at your text explanations! I’m just so impressed by your stamina on those steep slopes and in snow no less. Thank you for the work you put into sharing your journey with us!

Wonderful video. The red/orange flowers are Indian Paint Brush. That was a good size bear track. You are very informative. Happy hiking and be safe 😎⚘❤

I've been following you on your journey and want to say thank you for the video's. Your video's are so instructive. I might never find myself hiking in the snow, traversing snow packed mountains or crossing raging rivers but I find it interesting to know how its done. Stay safe. (It was scary watching your go over those passes.)

I was in the Sugar Bowl parking lot doing Trail Magic (you took your trekking pole and pointed to it right where the PCT crosses Donner Pass Road)--but I was there, June 22. But keep going!

Another great video. How’s you pack and gear holding up?
Did you feel the earthquakes?

So did Whiskey Creek, taste like Whiskey :-) May not have been a Bear, could have been one of those elusive Sasquatches. The red plant is Indian Paintbrush, one of my favorites, the purple are Purple Lupines, the white one look like Creeping Baby's Breath. OOPS, U-turn time. Actually it is Rodents, those tunnels were originally built under the snow when it was present. You Sure it was not a bottle of water from Whiskey Creek? Those tiny flowers are known as Pussy Paws, I have no idea where they got the name but that is it, officially they are Calyptridium Monosperma, there are many different types. The field of yellow flowers with the large leafs, are known as Mule Ears, there are yellow and white flowered Mule Ears. That path looks a bit sketchy, it would suck to be on that if it let go, YIKES... Woo Hoo, town food, and time for camp. SAFE HIKING

The wild flowers were worth a detour 🌸🏵🌼

The small earth trails you saw are created by voles. We see them all over alpine areas after the snow melts!

Excellent video and trek once again. Have you felt any of the earthquake swarm in the past 48 hours?

I know you probably didn't care but hopefully you got a chance to celebrate out Independence Day from the British !! It was my turn to get back at some neighbors from the past when I always had to work. From 12am to 130 am our yard was lit up with sky rockets and motor shell with 6 of us lighting them at the same time, oh what fun.
