I bought the pixel 8a because I was offered $400 to trade in previous Pixel 6. $200 gift cards from work. Then received a bonus $200 gift card reward upon purchase of the pixel 8a.

This for the 256gb model mind you meant that essentially I only paid around $200 for it😊

My choice is between the 8 for 529 vs the 8a for 384 euros. The 8 is definetly the better phone, but for that price difference I think I'll get the A

The 8 is cheaper than the 8a in my local retailers. I don't see why they bother making a slight downgrade for the same cost or currently even more.

$200 extra for glass back, macro focus and faster charge basically. When you put the phone in a good case, don't shoot insect or flower at close up, and no rush to charge, you can easily set sail with P8a. P8a is noticeably slower to open an app, not like the fluidity of 7pro that my kid uses, and it does get hot when running Amazon music or Google Map, but I have a craving for its size and weight. The target is to upgrade from iPhone 12 with bigger battery and usb c making P8a a perfect device for my main objectives.

I went with the Pixel 8a as I got it for £350 256GB. Its great all round but they should have put a bigger battery in as the 8 battery is bigger despite having a smaller screen.

I don't give a flyin' Eff abput bezels, what i really hate is the camera blade on my Pixel 8 pro. I'm definitely going to pick up an 8A, the bump looks way more comfortable.
