Jeep XJ, the last car to be a true bushwhacker. Driving one is an experience so saturated with nostalgia, Buzzfeed is probably writing an article about it as you're watching this.
I'm pretty sure Mr.Regular would be a badass drifter with that kind of counter steering music to go along with it.

This old "Jeep" Cherokee XJ still looks better than the new "Fiat" Cherokee.

Nailed it. And then the crazy kicked in at the end...
Ya did good, Son.

These older Jeeps are very reliable, i would drive one with that 4.0 liter inline 6 any day. I know many people that love their older Jeep Cherokees and drive them well over 300, 000 miles.

60% Cultular criticism and 40% car review. But you make it work.

The real Jeeps died when they retired the 4.0L.

I saved up for this to be my first car and I just bought it tonight. a big part of me deciding on the jeep was due to this review. thanks rcr. I couldn't be happier.

Ah, nostalgia. My first car was a '99 Cherokee Sport, and it was perfect.

Anyone else notice how the Roman's singing is a lot better? Even though he said he didn't really care about the singing?
gamerguy
I have this car and jesus I love it. The steering at the end is pretty accurate too. Lol

4 minutes of missionary? Someone's feeling ambitious ;)

Two years ago I finally bought a Cherokee XJ. It's a 1993 rust bucket and holy crap, why the hell didn't I buy one of these years ago?!? I absolutely love this thing!

The best version of the xj came out in the last model redesign which was produced in Canada and the US from nov. 99 to feb. 01. This was the version with the highest factory hp and reliability. It was also equipied with Aisin-Warner transmission which was also being used for the toyota 4runner 3rd gen at that time. Just look at the tranie drain plug. you will see a II, which means its takes dex/merc and not atf4 for WHICH IS ONLY USED IN MOPAR TRANSMITIONS.

The trail rated badge was probably invented for drivers of 4 cylinder front wheel drive Patriots who tried to go mudding and were sorely disappointed.

Miss my 97 Cherokee Sport. Ended getting up to 389, XXX km

The jeep in this video is unbelievably clean, very little rust and even has intact rockers, needless to say i'm jealous.

I miss my 96 Cherokee Classic. Sold it at a quarter million miles and it was still running strong.
