Yes! I've been in situations where I will talk about Christian men and men who aren't Christians get offended like I wasn't saying that you're not a good guy I was explaining why would prefer this type of situation. I hate it when people jump to conclusions especially when they ask for your opinion and go at our throats when didn't mean any harm. Or if I explain why I'd prefer marriage over cohabitation.
