if u put on ANY case on any MacBook, u can say bye bye to ur hinge and bye bye to the beautiful casing, dust gets stuck under and trust me that will do more damage to ur MacBook than with the case on, I had it with my older MacBook

I'd prefer a laptop skin + sleeve rather than the case. I don't know if a case really adds that much protection other than scratch resistance, plus I've seen posts of dust trapped under the case scratching the Mac and -more concerningly- bending on the lid thanks to the little clips of the case preventing the Mac from closing flush.
