Welcome to Daegu! While stationed in Daegu, make sure to check out some of the top spots. U-S-A-G Daegu has selected several different places highly recommended to U-S service members and their families. Our first stop is:
1. Kim Kwang-suk Road, named for the famous Korean signer, is an alley near Bangcheon Market in Daebong-dong. Running along the alley is a mural depicting his music and life. He is still recognized and his songs are still on everyone’s lips. Every fall, “Kim Kwang-suk’s Song Contest” is held to remember the legacy he left behind.
Feeling hungry? Right next to Kim Kwang-suk Road is another famous street, Bongridangil, which is lined with many cafes and restaurants that are beyond splendid.
