I Found The SECRET to Long Range FPV ( $60 HACK to go 6km! )

First test of the ORT Helical 3 turn antennas for the DJI Goggles 2. Insanely stoked with the performance on these as in the days after this video I got up to 6km.

Please use the fpv footage, unless you are reviewing a gopro. The osd is more important than pretty footage.

Hold up... Are you NOT going 6km on the stock antennas already? I put away the patches I had and only use stock antennas and will do 5-6km just fine. Only my battery is limiting me currently. On the drone you should be using either the DJI stock o3 lollipop or the FlyFishRC o3 long antenna. If you are using SMA adapters then you will be losing some signal, and if you don't use the orthogonal linear antenna then you lose out on MIMO gain. Cheers!

Question.
And how to amplify the signal on the remote controller? For me, it usually disappears faster than the signal of the glasses.

how do you not get stressed out with the land now warnings? i know liion can go much lower in voltage, but that was kinda sketchy to me.

Crossfire 2W will literally go miles farther that your set up. BTW. Range up to 50 kilometers Range. For long range the DJI controller is not recommended.

Reading some of the comments I'm surprised how many people dont seem to know how antennas work, dont mean any disrespect, just surprised they don't know the basics.

Hmmm. Would have liked to see the OSD for the DJI antenna at the same distances to compare to the helical antenna. From what I understand there is little difference with these aftermarket antenna.

Hmmm. The stock antennas are easily capable of 6km (many have flown 10km+) in FCC mode. You'll likely see better performance if using the DJI stock VTX antenna (dual band linearly polarised) than using LHCP antennas on the VTX side, as you appear to be doing. SMA connectors also create insertion loss.

Great Video, I bought these antennas for the Dji goggles 2 with Rhcp and would like to use them with the iflight Bob57. Do I need Rhcp or Lhcp for the helical antenna in this case?

My 03 air unit goes orange at the bottom way before my TBS Tango and nano RX ever lose signal and I’m in the blue ridge mountains.

This looks like red rock open space in coso, looks gorgeous! Thanks for the tips!

Any sensitivity to which way your head/antennas were pointed? I would expect the signal would fall off quickly if you turned your head slightly away from the direction of the quad.

What was the cell voltage when you returned?

Can you tell me if these will work with the v1 goggles please

great video..curious why aren't u using these antennas in your more recent videos.. looks like u went back to the stock dji antennas in those videos. what made you go back?

It's good to see you take steps to have proper long range equipment. Some observations:
3., 4v at 4km is worrying, it means the quads is too heavy.
The motors running 7537 has to work VERY HARD to carry that weight over that distance.
Ideally it should be heavier in pitch, at least xx50-xx60 to carry that weight for an efficient cruise.
Probably you'll change out the VTX antennas, and you should get more range than the DJI controller.

I built one of thoose helicoidal antennas when i was 14, costed me 2€ and still works, one of the best antennas i have

Great video! Why the switch from iFlight to Geprc?

When I see one of your beautiful videos I wonder wether it looks the same when you are seeing throgh your goggles. Does it match or is the final video after being uploaded to your computer better looking?

Is it possible to change the antennas on DJI Goggles 3? If so, would these antennas be compatible with the Goggles 3?
