Actually, if you help the dragon known as Chen Loong in the Bitter Lake, you'll unlock the Ruyi Scroll, a hub world where the monkey for the booze and the dog for medicine are transferred to, along with Chen gardening plants and a tiger crafting and upgrading gear.

Also upgrade stamina tree, helps a lot! Don't bother with health skill tree as it doesn't add much unless you pour in 6 slots which is better used elsewhere

Granted this way made the day it came out but in chapter 3 after completing the dragons quest (after the turtle landing) by beating him and bringing a pill to him he will give you a fast travel hub where all your companions will be so the pill guy, gourd and two new ones such as upgrading armor and farming seeds. Useful since beating the smith gives you a transformation and can help make meds

I don’t see anyone saying this: if you plan on doing a new game after your first run, DONT spend all the bull king iron horn materials you get from chapter 5 secret area. Turns out you need 2 to craft the (best imo) staff in the game, dark iron staff on the next playthrough. And you get 4 from 1 playthrough, just dont use more than 2 to craft armor with because you can essentially make the staff right when you do ng+

Anyone having trouble on yellow sage, you needa get the gold bell. It’s like the music box in bloodborne for the first werewolf fight. You can get his health down like half. I saved it for the second half

Tip: cancel the 4th light attack spin by rolling and go straight into the light finisher attack with the subsequent light attack command to get the stagger.

For everyone else, stunning doesn't always work when thier channeling, easier to just stun them during plus you get bonuses for doing so as stated in the skill menu.

ALSO IMPORTANT TIPS, you can regain all skill points and also all the pill upgrades to reuse as you want(which goes hand in hand with the resistance you mentioned at the end)
