From the Data tab, the Get External Data section click on from text. Locate your csv file and click Import. In the Text Import Wizard click on next, select comma as your delimiter and then click finish. Select where you would like to import your data and click Finish.

Now let's see how you can load data in excel from a text file. From the Data tab, the Get External Data section click on from text. Locate your csv file and click Import. In the Text Import Wizard click on next, select space as your delimiter or tab, depending on what you have used to separate each value in your text file, (you can use tabs or spaces to separate each value and set the columns and rows in a text file that you would like to import data from in Excel, and then click finish. Select where you would like to import your data and click Finish.
