Diavolo was determined to ensure Simeon's survival in the killing game. He was willing to go to great lengths to protect Simeon, motivated by a deep sense of guilt. He felt a heavy weight on his shoulders.

He had to Simeon safe no matter what.

He was already wracked with guilt for failing to keep Barbatos safe. Simeon… the only person he had left. He had to make sure that Simeon was protected, if not for his own sake, then for the sake of his dear departed friend, Barbatos.

Diavolo was aware that Simeon had gone through a change. The once innocent and pure Simeon was now tainted, his intentions no longer as virtuous as they seemed. He could see that Simeon's actions to Luke were far from pure.

Diavolo was well aware that Luke didn't trust him, and Belphegor had an air of strange suspicion around him. Mephistopheles, too, was strange. There was something about him that set off warning bells in Diavolo's mind, evoking unease.

Yet Diavolo couldn't shake the feeling that Mephistopheles might be trying to change. The very idea of it made him feel uneasy…

And now… Mephistopheles was spending time with Luke, a fact that set Diavolo on edge. He couldn't help but wonder if he was to blame for their interaction, as his own selfish actions had led him to trade Luke's secret to Mephistopheles for his own. After all, Diavolo was the original owner of Luke’s secret.

Diavolo couldn't shake the guilt that gnawed at him, the thought that Mephistopheles had forced Luke into this alliance. He couldn't be certain, but the possibility haunted him.

Diavolo clutched two pieces of paper in his hand, his fingers gripping them tightly. One contained his own secret, the other, the secret of his late best friend, Barbatos. A look of sorrow and sadness etched itself on his face as he stared at the papers.

He had to protect… Simeon.
