Spring Clean With Me 🏡 Cleaning Motivation

Time to open the windows, let some fresh air in, and get to spring cleaning! I'm going to take you with me as I tackle some overdue tasks around the home. Hopefully it motivates you to do some cleaning of your own!

My name is Lucy, I'm a Dutchwoman here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.

In Iran, we have a tradition that people should clean their house entirely before the spring and new year. Because in our calendar new year starts from the beginning of spring . This tradition is also a symbol of starting new year with clean soal.

So I have allergies to dust and pet hair (and I have two cats) and my house is SO dusty. Doesn't matter what I do. (Finally getting my ducts cleaned out!!) and so when I do cleaning (Sweeping, vacuuming-- and spring cleaning especially with decluttering etc, it brings up dust) so I often wear my dust mask when cleaning the house. Otherwise my sinuses and lungs close right up and it's not good. So to me you do not look ridiculous wearing a mask in your house.
I'm hoping the duct cleaning will help with the crazy dust in here.

Maybe get a dehumidifier for your bathroom? ❤️

A dehumidifier might help in your bathroom since you can't get fresh air to it. I live in a humid area of Texas (so lovely in the summertime, ugh) and it helps immensely.

Hello Lucy and a beautiful inspiring video thanks as I know cleaning is hard work but it gives you the feel good factor when it’s done and the secret is to do quick run around cleaning on a regular basis as it’s not hard work and becomes part of the normal everyday life so I hope your coping okay after the passing of your rats and wondered if you’re going to new rats as I assume that they are underrated household pets and they’ve got endearing personalities so with all that said thanks for reading my response message take care stay safe and cheerio

Periodically the fan in the bathroom needs taken down and thoroughly cleaned. Ours gets toilet paper residue stuck in the fan blades. Also don't forget to clean your fridge coils, dryer vent and dishwasher filter a few times a year. Thanks for an inspirational video!

That mould spray is the dogs.... When we lifted our bathroom lino the floor was black (on going leak) used the spray all over the boards and it was gone in days.

I don't know if you've heard of the brand Norwex, but I think you would really enjoy their products. They make microfiber cloths that are really great for cleaning the kitchen, your body, windows/mirrors, etc., and all you need to use them is water! They also have a special dusting glove, a mop and floor duster, and so many other great products!

may i recommend you try Colloidal Silver (a safe - very effective sanitizer) for your enclosed bathroom? it will kill mold and everything else - safely! please give it a try. it is amazing. much love xoxo

The easiest way to de- mould surfaces is to use thick bleach and "hot Water" in spray bottle. Just spray it on turn on your vent fan or open window a crack and shut door. Leave on until later in the day and then you can rinse off. But for the especially lazy ones. Leave it until you next shower. Its really no big thing to just leave it. I don't even use a toothbrush or anything, because the combination of thick bleach (used - as it stays put better) and hot water kills off the mould nicely - all by itself. Anyway that's my two pence worth.
