Fun fact: If only one kidney is present then it will adjust to filter twice the amount of blood. Meaning that a healthy kidney can filter 100 gallons of blood a day.

I had a kidney transplant but first I was on peritoneal dialysis. I had a tube surgically implanted into my peritoneal cavity and 4 times a day, every day, I had to fill that cavity fill of dialysis fluid then drain it out so it would clean all the waste out. I love watching this channel because it helps me understand by showing me what my doctors tell me and as someone with autism, it's a lot easier to learn visually, thank you so much

I was a dialysis nurse for a long time and I can tell you that the little kidney is extremely important. Not only does it filter waste it also does multiple other functions. Dialysis is a life saver but no where as good as your own kidney even though science has come a long way.God is an incredible architect and engineer. God bless all on dialysis. These videos are very instructive and well done. Thank you 👍😵💫

You have taught me so much about the body.

I had my left kidney removed 57 years ago and the right kidney took on the burden of being alone & working perfectly all this time. GOD IS AMAZING ‼️

I am a doctor myself but I feel it’s just so amazing what a human body can do. Just so fascinating.

Ah, good old kidneys! This reminded me of my kidneystone last year. I now know what real pain is.... I burned my hand last month and it was not even painfull compared to the f kidneystone. Drink water people :D

How about an episode for bladder function and the lower urinary tract. Conditions like Painful bladder and incontinence are so multifaceted and affect so many.
