I wanted to do this with a picture on the video track. Surely it will work the same way but I must have done something wrong. I'll try F11, confirm the red box and at the start of the video clip in question 👌👍

MR ALEX, PLEASE LET US KNOW:
there's a fusion node for midi, can use midi to do something like an equalizer but because it's midi it has no bass mid treb.
Is there a way to tell an fx/effect to, for example, increase opacity while tied into audio?
To illustrate, to make a light rays effect activate or intensify to the bass currently Reyes either knowledge of music time or using markers at regular intervals.... Except now you can remove voice and instruments and leave the bass or drums...
Is there no way to tie them together?

I cut my tracks, adjust the gain, and crossfade as needed. No volume automation required. Automation is a pain in the ass.

Technically, you could automate an output bus just the same and swap out any track you want without even doing this copy pasta trick.
