Everyone saying that Viego is toxic.. You might want to learn the lore of Viego, not your personal feelings and interpretation. He was crowned king, when his brother died, he never wanted the crown, he didn't care about ruling. While walking through the courtyard, he spotted a beautiful seamstress, he fell in love with a peasant girl. Offered his hand in marriage, because she was so beautiful. Everywhere they went they went together, and he showered her with gifts and devotion. As his kingdom was falling apart, due to him not ruling or caring, allies surrounding the kingdom hatched a plot to have him assassinated. A poison dagger was thrown at him, and was deflected by his guards, the dagger ricochet and cut Isolde. The poison worked quickly and she fell into a coma, Viego then spent all he had in his coffers to find an antitdode, including a ship that he sent on a voyage to find a cure, with General Kalista running the helm. General Hecarim was promoted to protect Viego. There was no cure, until Kalista had heard of healing waters in Ionia. Viego laid her to the PURE waters, but Viego's SELFISHNESS took her away. Viego was not toxic, his love was so great, that when he perished. He refused to let go. (If you seen the movie Ghost. You get the idea)
