In this season finale and series finale we deal with the final fight against Eminence who our heroes the Exiles and their leader Uatu, recently self-named, go up against. Our team of Exiles includes Agent Carter, Storm, Byrdie, and Kahhori who band together and ultimately are granted new power as Watchers themselves in their final stand against Eminence and the other Watchers. Is this the end? It seems like. Amanda shares her thoughts on this ending explained. What would you have liked to see in this series finale?

I heard the What If writers had a lot of very interesting concepts for stories but were not given green lights so as to not step on the toes of future live action stories (such as Shang Chi vs Iron Fist). The next version of What If, down the line, will have more characters to play with like the X-Men, FF, Secret Wars, maybe Excalibur, Midnight Suns, and future Marvel projects. Hopefully there will be a bright future for the animated series when it returns.

I was thinking it was transitioning from What If into the Exiles.

It's hilarious how the show seems to know what people would love to see (Frog Thor for example), but do dumb things with D-list characters that no one asked for or would ever want to see

I really enjoyed and fell in love with Uatu with The Goat Jeffery Wright playing him to perfection. And seeing this immense sense of compassion he had with Peggy and her team was an absolute highlight and infinity Ultron is the only Ultron I've actually cared for in any capacity after his sacrifice in this. And loved Uatu's philosophical battle with his mentor as now HE is the teacher. But the watchers feel so much like guardians in green lantern. What's the point of protecting The universe OR watching over it if there's no emotional aspect to it. AND THE OATH 😂😂😂🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. So happy to see everyone get a power upgrade because the battles were awesome but if Uatu can just turn anyone into a watcher especially with how Peggy defeating the them Basically by herself at the end.... I'm just saying 😂😂, so definitely agree with you about the power scaling and stakes Amanda. Ether Way this was better towards the end of the series than the first half. I hope we see everyone again soon it's just a matter of when and not just whst if.

The end of the episode teased some crazy combinations and alt versions of characters and I would have liked to see those. The scope of this last season in particular just felt a little limited given the potential of the multiverse. But that might be an overall criticism of the MCU multiverse projects all together.

They should've had What If episodes like the ideas that I have below here to make the show much better than what it turned out to be.

Which was an ok series.

Anyway random ideas I thought of for episodes that would've been interesting I think:

What If:

...Psylocke, Elektra and Silver Sable were all raised like sisters and trained by the Hand?

...Sabertooth became Weapon X and went through the adamantium bonding process instead of Wolverine?

...Cloak & Dagger, Vulcan and Proteus all became Horsemen Of Apocalypse?

...The Thing is the only one to (supposedly) survive a nuclear World War?

...The Phoenix Force skipped Jean Grey and inhabited instead Deathbird of the Shi'ar Empire?

...Sauron made multiple clones of himself and afterwards remade all of Earth as the Savage World?

...Daisy Johnson led an Inhumans black ops squad?

I wish this show would've taken more risks creatively like the What If comic series and didn't just use only MCU related characters.

I think that absolutely limited what stories they could tell right from the start unfortunately.

Hated how punchy punchy the final fight got.. the action was well animated but these beings should be able to operate on a whole another level

The whole what if thing just hops from story to story and jumps into this big world ending threat each time. Meanwhile the actual interesting stuff, like storm getting mjlonir just happens off screen.

And why wouldn't the watchers just erase everyone from the beginning instead of doing some big smashy fight? Like these people can end worlds, why are they fighting like a john wick thing? And how does Peggy stop them when she's not equal to their power? Tank being erased like she's superman now? This whole ending was weird. 😂

I don’t see why this needs to be the final season of WHAT IF. I understand if they want to take a break, but why cancel it? Just bring it back down the road and stop having all the episodes coming together in the end of each season. Be more like WHAT IF was in the comics. An excuse for teams to flex their creativity and tell weird stories that have no relation to canon - unless something resonates with audiences. Maybe the cost of production and the named cast is making it too costly.

I really enjoyed the visuals that came from the Exile Watchers scenes.

Technically, there are infinite Infinity Ultron’s out there. Our Exiles met with one who wasn’t a version from Season 1 and hear Uatu. That one is still trapped. This one had spent thousands of years alone.

My feelings are mixed as well. Disappointed with the episode. Enjoyed most of the series. Wish it had been more of an anthology series than an episodic storyline. I also wish and HOPE it has more impact on the MCUs future than it had while it was airing. 3/5⭐. Giving an extra star for Madisynn being mentioned.

I think the one girl has super speed, teleportation, energy blasts, and telekinesis. During her episode I was very confused about what the limits of her powers were too, but after the season two final episode this is how it seems to me.

I barely remember anything that happened this season. Or last season. I liked the first season though.
Storm was great.
Kaiju Hulk was cool.
The dancing in the second episode(?) was cool.
That's all I got.

Oh! Yeah! Agatha's live action show was fun.

What if money was not an issue. Would you think that if there was several writers rooms competing for episodes the season could have been better? Could competition breed a better show?

Your point about how they write stories explains why the live actions have been taking so many " L's" lately. It seems like they’re trying to course-correct but still forcing characters into main roles to dictate what fans should watch. The results will show in the box office numbers or lackluster views on the Disney app.

They should have made finale 40 min atleast. I think they tool this show very light. Mavel wants to move away from multiverse concepts as soon as possible because they didn't excute this saga well

What if...Khonshu chose Bucky of Echo, as his fist of Vengeance?

What if... Wanda died instead of Pietro?
