For years I struggled and after buying this sharpener.all I can say is it's the best, now if I could find the flat replacement in the middle of this unit to keep the raker coming down at the same time as the tooth!

I need a cheaper alternative to this. I've seen plenty of sharpeners in home depot for half the cost but I don't know what pitch the chain is on my HT-KM Pole Saw. Checked the manual which gives muliple options based off what's stamped on my chain. Unfortunately nothing makes sense.

Appreciate the video! Questions: 1) I'd love to know how many passes you need to make on each tooth? 2) If the raker is high but the tooth is sharp, can you feel that ... and what to do? Keep on making passes until you feel that both the raker and tooth are being engaged? 4) How much pressure to apply? 5) What if your chain has been poorly sharpened (guilty) in the past - should I have it professionally sharpened to get all the teeth back to the same place (that is, won't some need more passes than others depending on the shape of the teeth)? Thanks again! - PS I LOVE my Kombi and all the attachments including this pole saw.
