How come the artbook has so many cool looking characters and all we got were mary sue and geek sith?

Thanks for your effort in putting this review together! I loved the book as well .. and incidentally, I also hated the movie..
What I found most striking about the book was how many actually interesting and original ideas the concept artists developed, only for them to be honed down to the most boring, unoriginal and predictable plot imaginable.
But I digress ;)
