I'm 75, I started out being beat as a child, gang violence as a teen, lost a lung in the Vietnam war, got addicted to morphine in the hospital, had my heart broken by a Navy nurse but I wouldn't be broken, worked hard, found love, had 3 beautiful daughters and 3 wonderful grand kids and I'm the happiest man who ever lived! I believe that life is a movie, but we’re the producer, director, screen writer…
We’re involved in the making of it.
Maybe I believe that life is a game where the quest is to make the most amazing flick we can possibly create using all the prompts(cards) we’ve been delt?

Gamification + « do it for the plot » attitude have proven to be interchangeably effective in allowing me to get out of my head and remember that If play my role of being authentic in my decisions, I will create outcomes that will usher through the paths leading me to my pin of my dreams fulfilled, dropped into the universe’s map.

I agree with your precept of Life is a game. It is on so many levels very much like that. One gets to set their own goals, including the commitment level to achieving those goals and also determine what their "Win" looks like. In my case its' to comfortably retire, early ... and I can see that "finish line" ... i'm almost there. But, once I cross the line, I get to set some new goals and define some new "Wins". In a way, i get to define a new game, with fewer restrictions.

I'm "playing" my life like I do in Persona games, basically:
✅ Manage my time to improve my Academics, Courage, Charm, Understanding, Expression...
✅ Use my free time to finish a book
✅ Spend time to improve my relationships and also look for new people to became friend and learn with this new person, changing experiences with each other.
