is funny how people say this game is easy but nobody seems to play it well

Stupid isn't the right word but they are definitely less informed overall.

Save your words, HOTS players. Spare me from reading your simpleminded comments.

As long as HotS doesn't add fucking last hitting and keeps the games around 20 min, I don't care that people call me stupid lol

The only skill League players have over Heroes players is being able to last hit minions aka farming simulator. Heroes is a much faster paced game and requires quicker decision making/reactions in order to play correctly while league players spend a majority of their game walking and farming. You can argue that League's 'quick match' is taken more seriously than Heroes quick match because it isn't a quick match and the community even in unranked is severely more toxic. Blizzard even got ex-pro league players to play in a charity and only one of them could get into grandmasters. There's even an old video of Dyrus saying heroes is a lot more challenging from a team fighting standpoint. Heroes may not have the tenure of other mobas but I truly believe a bronze heroes player can completely own a bronze league player and the same with Grandmaster vs. Challenger.

The smart HOTS players always seem to end up on my enemy team

I transferred to HoTS after 2 - 3 years of League. I cannot deny that I had to adjust to this game's mechanics and had to learn all over about different heroes, maps camp rotations, objecitve timing... you get the point. What I am trying to say is that HoTS has a more PvP approach to it, because of how the maps are smaller than the classical Summoner's Rift and because of objectives which are super important.

In my opinion it's not that players are bad, they are just significally less informed plus the added difficulty. In League there is not that much to learn about the map, as there is to learn about heroes and how to exploit their strengths and weaknesses. In HoTS you have to learn that, PLUS the mechanics for each map - most notably camp timing, rotating and objective spawning. I certainly do think that HOTS requires more focus and thought than your average LOL ranked game. The fact that most of the HoTS players don't have these traits on a level suited for the game's own level is another matter.

Blizzards game design is, their games are available to everyone. So that can be part of it, starting HoTS is much easier than starting DoTA or LoL because their communities are far, far, far worse.

Quick Match teaches players to play a completely different game and entirely contrary to how the game is designed to be played.

Really needs to be addressed by Blizzard.

I don't think I'd say HotS players are stupider, they just have a lot more to learn in their game and have to be more flexible in their playstyle.

There is actually more to learn about HOTS compared to other MOBAS (just look at all the different maps hots has), so Hots just requires more knowledge of the game, not sure how that makes us more stupid (stupider isn't a word btw :P)
HOTS just focuses more on team play rather than "1 person can carry the whole game" type It is .
As someone who has played HOTS for over 2 years now, I can look at a game like League of Legends and not be confused.
almost comparing apple to oranges here since HOTS is so much different than LoL or DOTA, all MOBAs have bad players/ new players.
You also gotta keep in mind that other MOBA (mostly LoL and DOTA) players hate HOTS (without even trying it lul) and want it to die so their MOBA gets the higher player base, and therefore continues to get more content for longer. The anti-HOTS thought process is HUGE amoung other MOBAs.

These sound like issues with the game itself, not the actual people who play it.

For mechanical skill, hots players are worse. But they learn how to work as a team and how to adapt much more rapidly

I find Hots players to be worse than many other MOBA out there. Many of players i run into have this mentality.

"The pro uses this build so its only one true build"
"This website statistic said this hero has highest win rate so its the best"
"Your build is wrong because..."
"You have no damage/heals based on stat screen"

Talent builds: Some builds are more optimal then others. However, unless you have skills to back up such optimization, you are not getting the benefits of said talent. Therefor, its better to have not as optimized talent build if you are good with it and it matches your play style.

Hots keeps track of useless heals and not as useful damages. You can stack crazy numbers on heals if you play BW or Malf. What is their actual useful heal during team fight? in lower ranks, its very low. Their strength comes in killing the enemy first utilizing utility before their team can kill yours. Or team that actually knows how to disengage and back up. In lower ranks, this is rare case.

Same with poke damage in lane, if enemy have high sustain healer, its useless damage that looks good on paper. yet people use it to argue how they are not the reason team is losing and not even realize how bad they are playing in team fight.

People need to pay less attention to numbers on stat screen and more on actual flow of the game, impacts they made, and map control.

Tired of hearing, "Hotslog says...." "Hotslog builds...." All those data are meaningless unless you have the skills to back it up and frankly, if you are below diamond, you don't have the skill to back it up. Stop trying to be pro when you are not and play to your own strength.

I play HotS because it’s fun and not all super serious. I watch your videos because I want to play better/understand more, but I’m not interested in the competitive side of mobas.

Playing 1 map and 0 objectives in LoL/Dota is so much harder... so many things to remember!

"[HotS] players have to watch streamers/pro players to learn about the game". Can't agree more! I feel I learn so much from watching HGC and your videos! And even though you are starting to stream different games on your channel, thanks for still doing HotS content! =)

HotS is a game that requires more Teamwork than any other Moba, nobody is left behind in your team, your mistake might be everybody's mistake.

The strategies in other mobas like LoL are based on what the developers want us to do, but in HotS, we must create our own strategies over all.
On one side, Quickmatch is good and bad at the same time. You can play against anybody, with any hero, in any moment without knowing, so you have to adapt, meanwhile in LoL, you have to play against or with the same heroes that are popular at the time based on nerfs/buffs.

I don't agree with the overall statement.

Isnt backwards???, in other mobas they play the same map from the first moba, the old DOTA 1, a map that hasnt changed in more than 10 years and with a game mechanic were teamwork doesnt matter, meanwhile you farm your gold and exp to buy your items without getting killed, everything is ok, a game style that put you, not in a 5 v 5, its more than a 9 v 1, where you compite for the gold, exp and kills not only against the enemy, its again those other 4 players that play with you and cant kill, objectives?, no way these guys have no idea of objectives, roles and even worst, no idea of teamwork.

I'd agree that HotS players don't know their maps as well as other MOBAs. Does that make them stupider? No. I'd wager that with positioning, timing, and other strategies players are similar across all games. Drop a DOTA player into HotS for a few hours with a single character, and I'm going to bet they don't play any better than anyone else that plays HotS and has spent a similar amount of time with that hero. To call HotS players stupid is ignorant.
