Do heavier objects fall faster?

There are a lot of misconceptions about falling objects. In this video I try to dispel the misconception that objects with the same size will fall at the same rate, irrespective of their mass.

Of course, the best way to show this is to actually drop two objects with the same size and a different mass from a great height.... But I went for the theoretical approach here, since it's a good excuse to use an iterative spreadsheet model.

Really good explanation, I see a lot of videos showing that objects fall at the same speed but that never made sense to me. Now I know that’s because air resistance wasn’t being considered and the tests being shown were over very short distances.

Thank you so much for this video.
I had been struggling in my mind about basic concepts of forces and gravity and this video finally gave me the answer.

Hei there. Thanks, great video.
I'm trying to find somewhere else on the Internet that covers these ideas. It's there anywhere I could look?

Good video and it explains why objects fall at same rate and how it is effected with air resistance, surface area and density of air or if in water makes a huge difference

I know it's almost impossible to measure in practice, but what about the earth being pulled up towards the heavier ball slightly? Also this is an amazing video that I'm going to watch multiple times to make sure I fully understand and remember it 😀

You should have canceled out the m in the secon expression too

you should say acceleration instead of speed

So all this videos with misconceptions about falling objects(ie veritasium and Galileo i) is bullshit. If you have two balls with different radiuses then the ball with the biggest radius will reach the ground the fastest.
