Well said. As a Hawaiian, now stuck in Utah, sometimes my "want" of helping others, overshadows my neighbor's abilities of understanding we learn KOKUA at an early age. To help community is PONO. And people here in Utah, and the mainland as a whole are takers. Many times, they do appreciate, sometimes they don't even say thank you.

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, want to provide for their family, have stable income, military benefits for buying that first home. Yes, our cultures are warriors, hunters, gathers, and natural survival instincts. Plus, we are generally pretty intelligent. We believe, in honor, integrity, service to our people, community, country. Th at is what contributes to our Mana, which is Pono! Aloha Nui, my Brahda’s and Sista’s!
