As a software engineer, satan don't lie when compared to this guy.

Great. He just told us how to hack a Nokia 3310. Very useful

“All you have to do is losslessly extract the entire operating system, applications, and memory in machine level binary; disassemble it into human readable code (again, losslessly); and then read through the ENTIRE operating software to find the password”
Yep, there’s absolutely 0 technical limitations to that process, easy as pie… /s

I want to access an account I do not have the login details, I have tried everything possible but all failed. Please help can someone help me out?

The fact that he calls the OS and apps "the instruction set" and then assumes passwords are stored in plain text kinda ruins the illusion...

So bro basically says that all you need to do is gain physical access and then just completely disassemble the phone, decompile the entire OS, read binary, get access to memory, bypass encryption, all that losslessly.

Easy…

Don’t worry about this people. Devices today are much more secure than you think.

Yeah, 20 years ago. Modern days bootloader cannot be changed, the payload is encrypted, and the key is in the silicon that cannot be accessed externally. Rest in peace John.

All real engineers: No need for that, hold my beer.

And thus you should buy his anti theft software for 59.99 a year

I would eat dirt before making a phone in which the passcode is stored as plaintext and not at least a hash

I think he’s assuming the complexity of software and hardware hasn’t changed since before he sold his anti virus software.

As a man with 30 years of encryption under his belt. This is just meant as a scare tactic to sell something. This is not how this works especially now.

That man, thinks we are in the Commodore 64 era. No hash, no encription applied to passwords booking invented.

To anyone watching this, take heed. Never listen to a single word this guy says lmfao.

The logic of what he’s saying is true, the delivery is a bit unorthodox. I used to do something similar for a former gov employer. With search warrants of course.
I enjoy the remote wipe feature we have available to mobiles. Still not 100% fool proof. We need a self destruct feature like inspector gatchet😂

How to crack a phone, from a guy who's actually cracked...

This from Mac was frankly embarrassing at the time and still today. What was he thinking?

The task of reverse engineering an operating system from binary (the zeros and ones he mentioned) back to executable and readable code isn’t trivial nor takes only 30 minutes. To give more perspective on this, decrypting an SHA512 encrypted password could range from years to centuries depending on complexity

So what your saying is all the apps are stored in the instruction set, and passwords are basically stored in plain text.

Lol... if you managed to get to that point, I don't think you'll need the passcode...
