Great product review. More importantly, thanks for sharing that you are a recovering alcoholic. It takes grit to come back and you have made it for sure. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

The M12 is available in a Fuel version as well. The Fuel version does has the tool-free blade change but apparently it is also much more aggressive in its cutting with an additional 2 mm of travel so, the non-Fuel version is better for more precise or intricate work. Really depends on what you need to use it for mostly. The Fuel version is also about twice the price.

Hey Brian, thank you for sharing your journey with both woodworking and battle with alcohol I've been married to the same woman for 48 years. Her father was an alcoholic, I watched him go through everything from the emotional draining on the family but there were times he came home beaten to shit. Hang in there and keep up the good work and know I speak for many when I say we're all behind you. Again Thanks for sharing.

Great video as always Bryan. I started with the M18 drill and driver set a few years ago but in the last year or so I’ve picked up a few M12 tool when they are on sale at the holidays and they are great tools the multi tool is one I use the most. I definitely want to also get the stapler that you just reviewed. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend

You should use the M12 Fuel Oscillating Tool (2526-20) instead of the M12 version reviewed (2426-20). The 2526-20 has the tool-less blade change and is comparable to the Ryobi you used in the review.

The 12v 4:1 driver set is my absolute favorite.

I agree about the tool free blade change. The Milwaukee 18 volt, has tool free blade changing the same as the RYOBI you were showing

Hey Flyntdog the Milwaukee also has another 12V the Fuel version that has the quick change blade mechanism. For much more mula just the tool only .

I've been committed to the Dewalt battery system for years, but if I ever have to change I'm really looking at Milwaukee. Have a great weekend.

My 1st Milwaukee tools was a kit that included 12v drill, impact, multi tool, battery, and charger in a bag more than 11 years ago. They still get used often. Taking the sandpaper off to change to a blade is an extra step. I got the 18v Milwaukee multi tool. The sandpaper pad is bigger than the 12v pad and I bought a bunch of sandpaper for the old tool. My 12v is dedicated to sanding and the 18v is used for cutting. Some may say that's excessive, but I relate it to having 2 drills. I for drilling and 1 for driving screws so you don't have to shift drill and drive bits.

I JUST finished using my M18 multitool. It is heavy, cumbersome and will not stand on end. I really wish I had gotten the M12. Thanks, Brian.

I have both the M12 and M18 oscillating tools. The problem I’ve experienced with the M12 is the battery would shake out while using it. Maybe they fixed that problem with the tool, but it was a known problem with it. The M18 is awesome I use it frequently. They have a new M12 sander as well 2 types with different orbital strokes, the new sanders will give Mirka and Festool a run for their money.

Ok Flynn Dog, here it comes…..I’m a dyed in wool neon green Ryobi and grey tool user. I still have my old blue and grey Ryobi angle grinder and router from…..well a long time ago, just purchased the Ryobi multi tool that you just broke, a week ago. Now you’re asking me to go red? How ridiculous is that? Ok, ok slow down cuz, I’m with you here. I purchased the complete set of the old craftsman next tec tools, again decades ago and love them more than anything. I was getting worried and them dying on my and I use them a lot. To light and compact I just to think of a replacement for them until now. My mouth gaped in amazement at that the look exactly like my nex tec tools. Cuz, you sold me bless your little pea pickin heart. Congratulations on your sobriety, 32 years and 10 months for me. Well Flynn Dog, your my boy! Thanks

Thanks for the video and hope all is well with you. I just sold that tool cause I could not stand the blade change. I ended up jumping to the 12v SKIL as I found one for $59 as a kit and it is night and day. Also brushless and 5 yr warranty.
