Leaning back like singers do actually causes the throat to go back as well. This causes the vocal chords to thin a little more allowing for the singer to hit those higher notes with a little more ease. Hannah Bayles does a WONDERFUL job at explaining what going on, I also recommend Tara Simon Studios as she explains singing terms and techniques in a much easier way.

The first Sebastián clip was not in 2019. (I don't think the song had even been written at that point) They were both recorded very recently. The second clip was actually recorded before the first one in November 2021 and the second one was recorded in January 2022. 💕
