What it will take to get Nvidia and Tesla stocks to move higher

Tesla (TSLA) stock has erased all of its post-election gains seen since Donald Trump's November 2024 victory, the EV maker declining by nearly 40% year-to-date in 2025. This comes as CEO Elon Musk leans heavier into his duties as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the Trump administration.
New Street Research managing partner Pierre Ferragu shares his thoughts with Brad Smith and Madison Mills on whether the Tesla stock can recover from this.
Tesla shares appear to be getting a lift Wednesday morning following Musk's interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity and the company receiving of permits to operate its robotaxis in California.

NVDA has more profit now than it ever had when it went up over 1000%.
Just because it's a lower percentage of growth (since the company is now 3 trillion dollars) should be irrelevant. Revenue and Guidance should be paramount. This is being manipulated for some reason. No one has NVDA's profit margins. This should easily be a 200-dollar stock.

The classic problem of making money from software is solved by constant innovation (newer versions; staying ahead of competition) and closely integrating software with hardware (ex. Apple, Nvidia). Custom apps built on open source is another alternative. Deepseek does not change this.
