3D Designers: Ask THESE Questions to Clients Before Telling Them Your Price!

When I was getting into professional freelance 3D design, I was often scrambling to come up with questions, thinking "What should I ask clients before giving them my price?" I didn't want to name a price that they could work with, only to learn that what they require actually is worth a lot more.

Nice video as always man 🥰
There‘s one thing I would like to add that saved me a lot of time:
Set a specified amount of revisions before starting a project. I always go with two revisions before the rendering process, showing the clients a lowres preview in eevee.
And if the client wants some more revisions afterwards, he gotta pay extra

"People that are older, in their 30's.." I resent that remark. Nice video though 👌

I'm your latest subscriber. This kind of very practical and hands-on information is very valuable. As you can tell from my photo, I'm no spring chicken in this world (and I've run my own consulting company in the past) but concerns specific to 3D art and advertising are still new to me. To have you delineate the concensn and factors around job cost estimation, both for the client and myself its hugely helpfull! Keep up the great work!

Also I live under where all the planes line up for an semi major airport so I do the same thing with flightradar whenever I see an interesting plane haha

Awesome tips for beginners. Quick question; Are you able to take on several clients at the same time (if yes, how many do you personally find manageable?), or do you usually take one client at a time?

what if I do this when they ask the price I tell them that to give you the accurate price we can hop on a call for like 10 minutes and I will ask you some questions to determine the price

Hi, Do you charge differently for rendering a heavy scene say with volumetric stuff? Or is that the part of hourly charge? basically, what if you make a video in 5 hrs and it takes 12 hrs to render. do you charge for work hour only or rendering too?
