About 167K of the 16M Americans that were in the military during WW2 are still alive. Most are over 90. Blessing to all of them!

As the photos transition from them until now it makes me think of how the men in the photos fade into history. It's so important not to forget who they were and what they did thanks to your videos

The way you ghosted out the two GI's in the first shot tells of the great number of these young men who died and who are now 98% no longer with us. Truly magnificent work!!

My Dad was in World war2. Every day I look around and see these changes. He never spoke about the atrocities he went through. But I know from my family they were unimaginable. It never gets any easier. Miss you always Mum and Dad. 🙏🙏❤️❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

My father was one of the liberators who entered Denmark after the Armistice was signed. He said how people came out on the streets & threw flowers onto the tanks & armoured cars, just as in these pictures. He was 25 at the end of the war. Came home to his young wife & resumed his medical studies. 2011 he died just short of his 92nd birthday.

The tranquility in the After photos was only achieved by the commitment and sacrifice of the civilians and soldiers and their families in the Before photos. Thank you for sharing, showing and educating us.
