I'm glad you recovered from whatever was holding you back. I find that doing something when I don't want to do it helps me to overcome the resistance.

So beautiful James! Wow - thank you for this very different upload! Wonderful registration. Powerful!! (That thumbnail tho... Dido needs more ice cream 🤔)

A very fine arrangement of Benjamin Righetti (a very very fine player!). He has perfectly romanticized this piece.
I was a bit surprised by your powerful registration choices. But in the end I liked it, and you can go two directions with despair: loudness and softness.

When Purcell wrote this most haunting aria, he certainly knew how to pull on the heart-strings. I associate the Lament most closely with Remembrance Sunday as it is played each year at the Cenotaph ceremony in November. I think you have registered it most skilfully on the Rotterdam Marcussen sample set, taking great care not to let the power of the organ distract from the power of the music. You have created a wonderfully sensitive performance, James, and your playing is just sublime. Thank you.

I’ve always loved that piece. I play it on trombone w/ organ during Lent occasionally. I like this arrangement!

Lovely performance. A piece that has also been on my music desk for a while, albeit I wasn't familiar with this arrangement of it yet. Interesting registration and you give an interesting idea there as to how to deal with the final section of the piece.
As a side note: My grandad conducted the Polish premier performance of this opera in 1979 :)

Hello
Can I please ask
(Probably a very daft question) is the hoofed organ a different organ to the ones in Rotterdam - Laurenskerk - Main Organ
Thanks
