Microsoft Word Tutorial: How to use Section Break in Word

If you have ever struggled to get a long Word document to look exactly as you would like, it might be that you need to brush on using breaks. Breaks allow you to split up your text into independent ‘chunks’ and apply formatting or layout options to just that specific chunk.

There are two types of breaks that you can use in a Word document. The first is a page break, and the second is a section break. In this tutorial, we are going to explore the usage of both.

I tried to avoid using word in advanced mode most of my life. I played with Latex for so long, because I hated how word functionalities were always hard to use. I still have this opinion, but your channel make it easier and a way better job than Microsoft documentation.

Very informative. I needed to learn how to create Page Breaks between multiple poems in one document. The Page Breaks worked, but visually Word does not show the Breaks, as it does in your video. I'm currently running Word 2021 (version 16.54) When I printed out the pages of my document, I realized that the Page Breaks worked, but it's confusing because in the Word document, it appears as though nothing happened.
