I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. I had intended to test the SSG-EG features of the chip to get some unique sounds, but this lead to some issues.

Unfortunately, I had to render the song with OPN2 + AY instead of OPN, which is why there is some clipping on the FM channels. I had to do this since BambooTracker uses OPN2 for playback, and the lead instrument would be distorted otherwise.

If anyone knows how to have BambooTracker use proper YM2203 SSG-EG envelopes, please let me know in a comment below.

Thanks for this! I'd love to hear some songs off Haunted Castle on the YM2203, like Basement Melodies. It's my favorite OPN chip, even moreso than the more advanced ones like the 2608 and 2610. There's just something magical about the 2203 - maybe it's the six-channel limit and lack of ADPCM. It just sounds more clear and crisp to me.
