Hi Sabrina,
I wrote to Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo for
many months and now they have
disappeared. I'm not a superficial person.
When people leave it hurts. I don't know
why Dua and Olivia left. I have no
explanation for their disappearance so
there is nothing that can be
learned. Maybe Dua and Olivia simply
became bored with me. Maybe I
should not worry about who comes
and goes and who is around and who
isn't. I'm trying to be friends with
celebrities and perhaps I'm being
bulls/hit. I do not really feel equal in
my relationships with celebrity
artists. You and Taylor are still
around and it's a privilege to connect
with you. I wonder if I should try to
make a few more friends in Toronto.
I don't know what to do with
my life. What is my purpose? What
gives life meaning? I will open up these
questions with my therapist. Some
of the answer about meaning and purpose
is universal to all humans and then some
of the answer is individual. The answer
to what gives life meaning and purpose
should be separated into a universal
component, which is generally true for
the majority of humans, and an individual
component which is true for you.
A theme has come up in my thinking about fundamental roots which basically are
about the identification of a single
factor that is responsible for a multiplicity
of factors. A variety of things are happening
in your life because of fundamental roots.
The story of your life has an underlying
structure that is dictated by fundamental
roots and the multiplicities of effects that
expand from fundamental roots.
Your overall trajectory in life, which you
might conceptualize in terms of direction
and magnitude, is some kind of
net trajectory that is a balance between
a multiplicity of forces. The now is an
instantaneous point of your trajectory.
The past is a trace of where you have
been. Where you are now is dependent
on where you were in the past. Where you
will go next is dependent on where you
are now which is dependent on where
you have been. The story of your life is
dictated by fundamental roots and by
the multiplicity of effects that expand
from fundamental roots. We are all on
some kind of trajectory that is a sort
of pathway that is allowed to us
by both the universe and by who we are as
individuals. You might think that you have
some degree of choice and responsibility
in determining your trajectory. I'm not
sure that we determine anything about what
happens to us. I believe that our trajectory
is determined by forces that are outside
of our control. Simply put, humans do not
have free will. Fundamental roots expand
into a multiplicity of effects like tree limbs
that branch. The universe has a tree limb
structure. The tree limb structure is a sort
of grid where paths of travel are allowed.
Paths of travel are restricted to the grid
which realizes a sub-space. We travel
through a particular sub-space. We do
not travel through just any part of the
space. You can conceptualize the sub
space as roads that cars travel on.
Your car travels from point A to point
B by the road that connects point A
to point B. Our path of travel is restricted
to a road that is part of the universe.
We can conceptualize a space that
contains and an infinite array of all
the possible combinations that can be
made from all the possible re-arrangements
of variables and it seems that the universe
only allows a sub-set of the all possible
combinations to exist. We are here to
traverse a particular path and our path
is determined beyond our control.
