I love the APAS system it is very useful . I live in a area with a lot of trees and obstacles and this feature is a must. it is one of the reason why I purchase the Mavic Air. I own the black one, and it look so cool . my friend says it look like a stealth fighter from the future.

I think it's a great feature.
I will try out the APAS feature soon.

DJI, I love the way the spark fly on sport mode.  Can you please make a drone the size and weight of the spark with all of the feature of the Mavic 2 zoom? I would buy it, and I'm sure it would be a record breaker for sales!

@DJI in your next drone please make APAS / obstacle avoidence, work backwards and sideways too! It's Much needed safety feature, specially when doing quick shots & active track! Thanks.

What is the likelyhood of APAS moving right or left to avoid an obstacle and hitting something on the side where there is NO sensor to assess obstacles on the side?

Every one of these tutorials looks like the beginning of a Black Mirror episode, before it all goes to shit.

I wish APAS will come to Mavic Pro and Phantom4 Pro aswell. These Drones should have enough CPU-Power and I suppose everything is done by Software anyhow. Thumbs up for this Feature, DJI :-)

Mavic 2 pro in my already 2nd drone APAS system stopped working and the drone stops in front of each obstacle, after turning on the APAS control on the screen displays that the system is turned on but as the drone flies towards the obstacle it stops and hovers in the air, does not bypass the obstacle as it did a few days ago, what is happening or is there any hidden function that turns APAS on and off?

Hi guys. It would have been better if this video was one of the first tutorials video ( after the assembly and first flight tutorial ) for people like me who has never tried a drone before. I bought the drone 10 days ago but was so scared to fly it cause I didn’t know how to deal with the obstacles

Question for DJI, is there a way we can get the flight simulator you guys use at CES and in your stores? Willing to pay.

Will Apas be available for the Phantom Series? Or only for Mavic air?

Doesn't The Obsticle Avoidance work in Begineer mode as I am not an Advance Pilot yet?

My mavic air does apas very well but my mavic 2 pro is totally shit. Need an update. Even if the apas is turned on the drone stops every single time on any obstacles in front of it.

APAS crashed my drone! It noted the obstacle front port side, moved towards starboard and didn’t see the river bank on the starboard side. No amount of correction from my side had an impact on the flight trajectory. It flew into the river bank and fell into the water. I would use APAS again but not in tight confined spaces. For this I’d rather rely on my piloting skill. It’s useful but not fool proof.

Hi DJI!

Aircraft: DJI Mavic Air
Firmware: 01.00.0500

---
When I turned ON APAS on my MA,

Location: 120 meters up in the sky with NO obstructions (360 degrees) but High wind velocity is present.

I'm receiving the following prompts on my screen:

- Exit Backward, Forward Sensing system
- Backward Obstacle Sensing is not functioning.
- Forward Obstacle Sensing is not functioning.

Are these prompts Normal?

I thought APAS should use sensors esp. when in APAS mode?

How come I'm receiving such prompts?

Thanks!
