Today we dive into a Call of Duty Character that everybody forgot about. This is of course Gary “Roach” Sanderson. We talk about his back story and where he is today. Hope you enjoy it!

For people who say Roach was simply a camera, he shows personality when he and Ghost is shot by Shepard, by grabbing Shepards arm in the remaster.

Nobody forgot about Roach. He has a very big place in every MW2 player’s hearts. We saw the betrayal of Shepard through his very last moments and I couldn’t help but feel horrible for Ghost and Roach

After the first 30 seconds, I knew it was going to be Roach. He’s surely going to feature in MWIII’s campaign (I hope)

Would like to see 141 get expanded on and dudes like Ozone, Scarecrow, Frost, etc get fleshed out characters. It was cool hearing those dudes come over comms in the OG campaign and kinda getting a “oh hey same guys, they’re out there with us as well”

We need to bring justice for our boy Roach. He is literally my favorite mute cod character. If he became a playable operator, I would instantly play as his in a heartbeat!!!!

I've always liked Roach more than Ghost. Sure he never talked or interacted with anyone but his actions within the campaign substituted his lack of dialogue. Extracting the ACS module via smowmobile chase, taking on a Favela single handedly, escaping said Favela with the entire village trying to kill him. Even extra bits of lore like in Soap's journal how he mentions Roach and that he see's a lot of his younger self in Roach. He never spoke a word, but you felt like an invincible badass as Roach and that's why I like him so much. Here's hoping he returns for MWIII

Calling Gaz a very minor character although he was in the whole CoD4MW game till the end and died infront our eyes? That's harsh man

Im glad to see Roach being mentioned here.. Dude deserves more credit and recognition from the community as being a apart of the COD cast, despite being a silent protagonist.. Soap was the same way in COD 4, why cant we do Roach justice??

How can I forget Roach? Ever since Shepherd returned in MW II, the betrayal from the previous game kept popping in my memory.

It makes me so happy to see that others haven't forgotten about Roach, he's one of my favorite characters!! Also, in "Soap's Journal" that comes with one of the bonus editions of MW3, Soap goes a bit more in depth about Roach which is really cool. Here is one of the parts that speak about him :

"Have been looking forward to breaking Roach in. Beyond the mission similarities, He reminds me after myself after selection. Feel even more comfortable with him than Price must have with me. Handled the C4 detonation perfectly, even as I looked at dozen muzzles. Not half-bad on a snowmobile either. A future in snowcross racing?

Afterwards, saw the Sgt. writing in a journal. Wonder if he's thinking about PT like I was.

I like how Roach is basically his nickname since the man like irl cokroaches just refuse to die and crawl back up despite people throwing everything at him. It takes a full 44 Magnum to the chest, stray bullets from the earlier gunfight and being doused in gasoline to actually kill him

I knew from the first few seconds it was roach. I still remember how insane the death scene was. Biggest shocking moment in gaming at the time.

I wish Call of Duty would include more American tier 1 operators/forces like Delta Force and DEVGRU (ST6). Delta was a major faction in MW3, perhaps they’ll be brought back in the next installment; but still, as much as I admire SAS and the idea of a multinational TF-141, the Modern Warfare series needs more American tier 1 operator representation in campaign and multiplayer.

In the game Roach back story was never shown or tell but in the CODM Roach backstory was told a little in the BIO it says that Roach is a member of british special forces i don't know is the BIO is canon or not but yeah Roach is a british
