Modane station in the French Alps has 3 platforms: A, C & 17.

Lowestoft doesn't have a platform 1, as the old platform 1 is now a bus stop. It does have a 2, 3, and 4 though.

Hull also has no Platform 1 but it still exists but tends to be used as a servicing road but not numbered.

Since everyone in the comments is just giving other stations with no platform 1, lemme chime in with one that hasn’t been mentioned yet!:

Seaford station in East Sussex has only one platform, which is numbered 2. The old platform 1 is now occupied by a car park.

i noticed this when i went to stansted airport just 2 days ago. by the way, dont get the 720 to stansted. instead, get the equally as rare 745/0 (not too rare, maybe about every 4 or 5 trains) that occasionally go on stansted express, because first class is declassified and both classes have tables (i think)

Salisbury Station in Wiltshire has an abandoned platform which used to be 1 but technically has no platform 1 or 5 but has 2, 3, 4 and 6 😂

One thing I wish they would do at Tottenham Hale station, is to open up the doors that lead directly to the Underground Escalator from the old bridge at the station, from platform 2 & 3.

Box Hill station in Melbourne does have a platform 1, but it was only in used from 1983 to 1984. There has been no track since the mid 1990s or earlier.

Platform 1 will be built because of Crossrail 2 that is to be given the go ahead and to add platform 1 at those stations between Tottenham Hale and Meridian Water.

This is the line I use if I’m going towards London and I can’t understand it! It seems as if they called it platform 4 instead of platform 1 which confuses me! Great video! 👍🏻 😊

West Croydon has no platform 2. Stratford has no platform 7. Both did exist, platform 2 was used for the service to Wimbledon which was taken over by tramline and platform 7 was built but never used for an electric shuttle service to Fenchurch Street. Huddersfield has a missing platform, but I cannot remember the number. Platforms 9 and 10 at Finsbury Park have been removed, but since they were the highest numbers there are no missing ones.

One of the quirks of Los Angeles Union Station is that no passenger trains ever stop on Tracks 1 and 2. Only LA Metro Line A LRT trains use the closest platform to the station concourse.

I absolutely hate Platforms 13 & 14 at Manchester Piccadilly with a passion, especially if I am coming in on Metrolink from Shudehill or Market St, with tickets and information, when travelling on SailRail to Ireland via Chester, Crewe, or Lladnuo and Holyhead to Dublin with a heavy suitcase, where these trains don’t even call at Deansgate/Castlefield, which has a better Metrolink connection - clearly the current SailRail product offering needs a massive overhaul, as changing trains at Chester for Holyhead is a nightmare - they should be offering direct trains to Holyhead from Manchester Victoria or at the very least, direct trains from Platforms 1-10 at Manchester Piccadilly, which is both eternally busy and is huge compared to Manchester Victoria (my nearest mainline station) - I’ve written to TfW and Network Rail about this many times, but I’ve never got a satisfactory response
