Thanks Daniel. I’m almost 40 and have been working on mine and my family’s wealth trajectory since I was in my 20s. I can’t say I have had great mentors except some bosses here and there, reading about 50-100 or so business and other books I’ve read, and advice from YouTubers. I’ve been following the Baby Steps and am on either step 5 or 6 (save for kids college and pay down mortgage).

Other than some passive income (real estate and stocks/bonds) my time is generally spent at work, with my family, and at my church.

I would love to be able to free up some time at work (50-80 hours/week) into other areas of life. Don’t get my wrong, I love my job. I’m getting great experience, work with some nice people, get paid fairly well (~$300k-$$350k/yr) and I don’t risk my own money working with $2k/hour consultants or investing in projects.

I’m trying to be patient with my life but I also want to build something that feels more like my own.

Books are amazing. It's a great guide to make anything. But, when you start to understand better the concepts of life, you start to make some stuff in a different way, just because you understood how to make it on your own.
