I gotta take the tailed beast. The Sharingan is good but it causes alot of strain on your eyes and could potentially blind you if used improperly. And it drains Chakra, so if i dont have high chakra reserves (like an Uzumaki) then I'm essentially screwed. Tailed beasts, on the other hand, can boost my chakra reserves. And as long as it's in between the 2 tails to the 7 tails, I'm good. Since Gyuki (8 tails) is the hardest tailed beast to tame, and Kurama (9 tails) is a loose cannon.
Edit: I wouldn't want the Shukaku (1 tails) since he's known to be arrogant.

I think the "any devil fruit" means you can choose any devil fruit you want like the ope ope no mi or the pika pika no mi, so the only haki that could be more useful irl than those would be future sight, but any devil fruit would be better if you can choose.
