Though, for anyone in the future looking at the comments to be sure if this may solve their problem as well, I have a Canon Pixma TS9020 that was working fine for a good while. All of a sudden, the scanner wouldn't function. By this, I mean: the touch screen would only show "Processing... Please wait momentarily..." and nothing else before simply going back to the Scan menu. There was no movement of the hardware while the "Processing" message appeared.
As unfortunate as it is to not be able to use the screen itself to scan, you can use the Windows Scan app to trigger the scanner and scan your document.

EDIT: By going to the Canon support page and searching up the driver for the printer (mine was named "Print Driver and Scan Utility Installer Ver.1.02") and installing it, FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER, I got my scanner to work from the printer touch screen. But, thanks to the uploader of this video for the help!

Thanks for this video. My problem is at end of download of Canon MG2522 software it says drivers were not downloaded or something. Have you heard of not being able to download Canon pixmas on Windows 10? Second question, will other more later model printers download okay on Windows 10? I have a Windows 7 computer and use that to print, but it won't download on my Windows 10 computer I bought recently.
