In this video I look at the tech that keeps most websites organized and operating smoothly, content management systems (CMS). These are web applications that allow websites to easily post new content, tag it, publish it and even moderate it. It manages users, roles and content permissions. The content can be articles, goods, status messages, Word files, PDFs, videos, etc. This data comes from w3techs, Google Trends, Alexa stats, and old CMS articles.

Typo3 is used basically from most web designers, next to wordpress. I'd have expected at least 7% market share. Odd.

Impressive research. I hate to think that back in the day, I used many of those with varying success rates—mostly trying to keep one step ahead of the hackers who loved to do SQL injection attacks and other attacks against the underlying code. The high proportion of WordPress instances tells you when you look at the error logs of any other website that it is the obvious main target for the modern-day script kiddie. 🤣
