Alice of Human Sacrifice || Life Series Winners Animatic

This is a Life Series Animatic with the song Alice of Human Sacrifice based on the four winners of Third Life, Last Life, Double Life, and Limited Life. I had so much fun with this animatic, it caused me so much pain, but I have not been more proud of a project in a long long time. A BIG BIG THANKS TO @Rosen_Icarus who gave me the idea in the first place!!! They are super cool and helped keep me motivated in vcs while I worked, and you should totally subscribe to them :D

Grian having wings in 3rd life is like a strange call back to Icarus. A tragic fall but in Grian's case, he could of saved himself at anytime. He could fly. There's something I can't quite explain in a character that chooses to fall. Fascinating.

This was actually so good. I forgot the fourth Alice was a set of twins, so I was surprised to see Martyn featured as the third Alice when Pearl won the third season. But using the twins to symbolize the life connection from the third season was actually incredibly clever.

Oh my gosh this was literally incredible!!! I love so much how Pearl’s win was hidden… because it wasn’t what the Watchers wanted, it was the previous winner sacrificing himself instead of a betrayal… the Watchers didn’t get anything to feed off of from it so they never counted it as important. Probably spiked their hatred for Scott even more then before since he did technically win twice

Love how they all had the story behind them and was done in short form but knowing the whole story of each one and how you brought the "lore" that Martyn was working on bring9ing in as well to make them all connected by the watchers. It did feel like the one who looked at the portrait of Pearl and Scott as was also Pearl.

The voice clips at the end with the music getting more discordant was so perfect somehow. Pearl's evil laughter?? Martyn and Pearl being twins? Scott's win (with Pearl featured as an ally early on) followed by Martyn's win (where Scott was one of the last three) and also Pearl's win with Scott being the other last survivor? they're so great

What's funny is that Scott and Pearl were soul bound, Grian and Scar were soul bound, but Martyn was soul bound with Cleo and she's not there because she hasn't won yet. What I think is funny is the 2 soul bound pairs are in the victors and Martyn is just left alone. Also you would need Cleo to complete the divorced quartet.

Such an incredible and creepy animatic, but especially when you turned the scott audio at 3:27 which in the episode was a very light-hearted, funny joke into something sounding almost psychotic and disturbing is amazing

GODS this is such a good song to pair with the life series, if only double life came after limited life.... the characters fit so well too, grian red themed and aggressive, always instigating fights fits with the swordswoman (Meiko), Scott blue themed more of a peacekeeper who was true to his ideals fits with the singer (Kaito), Martyn green themed and the whole red king/red winter becoming the red spring as his original plan, plus the way he's favoured by the Watchers fits with the queen (Miku), and then the pair, Pearl (and Scott again), yellow themed like how they were yellow for so long, being tied together but always bickering until one goes insane near the end of their adventure, like the twins (Rin and Len)

Using vocaloid songs for life series things is so, SO good
