This prologue reminded me of those old cgi documentaries about dinosaurs I watched as a kid. So nostalgic! They did an amazing job making it look real! The lighting, the silhouettes, the dust particles in the air! I was so hooked in the world (before the mosquito came).

what I find interesting is that when the t-rex enters the drive in, it's not trying to intentionally eat anyone. Yeah, it's snapping at people and knocking cars out of the way, but it's more of a 'get out of my way' kind of deal. it's very much like an animal whose been backed into a corner and is stressed out. it's kinda nice to see the dino's as animals and less like mindless monsters.

This is what 'Walking with Dinosaurs' would look like with a multi-million dollar budget behind it, hell I could watch an entire film that takes place strictly in the past, watching dinosaurs just do what they do.

I do like how they acknowledge the fuzzy dinosaurs in the past. You can assume the ones that were cloned lost their feathers due to the frog DNA.

i love the detail that they make the real trex have a little hairy back, while the mutation (came from the lab) have our usual trex shape. That's a great execution there.

There was something wow-worthy about the original first movie. The splendor of the dinosaurs themselves has become lost. They need to bring that back some kind of way. We need to be amazed again.
