Actually, I feel like most of the people in power (for example, the bosses in companies), are often at *risk* with their “status” and maybe power as well. Usually, other people behaving nicely to them are just a form of “manipulation” and social nicety and they might actually not be aware of it as their mind is often on their company vision or personal vision. They need people ultimately and so they can’t often be choosy with 100% loyal followers/ workers/ business partners and they can’t be overthinking the deeper intentions of everyone with their vision. It’s even harder the higher one goes with more people under them. You would never know when would people turn against you. Even if you know, can you afford to fire them is one of the issue too.
