You Would Never Look for Fish Here!

Sometimes you look for fish in the weirdest places! This is especially true when you are evacuating Houston from Hurricane Beryl! I made the best of it and found some incredible fish in the local creeks.

I fish for all species, everywhere. From urban ponds to hiking deep in the woods and skipping under trees in a river, from bluegill to striped bass to blue catfish, I don't discriminate. I've fished many tiny ditches like that before and caught bluegill, bass, bullheads and even redfin pickerel.

Like how you make lemonade when life hands you lemons (or a hurricane) - still out there finding the fish. And, even though you have the skill and experience to catch the giant gar, I appreciate how you appreciate whatever fish you catch and how you treat all of them with respect. Great video.

Always refreshing being able to find fishing spots in unknown areas. It's like finding treasure which is why I love fishing. Great video as always and glad we all have power.

Small creek fishing is my favorite. While I certainly love big fish, these small creeks are more busy and provide me what I tend to seek .

Your urban naturalist approach to life is so interesting. Great content. I laughed at the Earl Rudder comment too.

Ive actually fished in streams that most just laughed at me about until they seen the beautiful brook trout that was native and was quite large for the fact that it was just like a spring nearly. Great native rainbow and brooks.

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well and that the hurricane hasn't affected you too much

It seems like little creeks and shallow ponds always produce bright and colorful fish.

Beryl was tough. Live 10 minutes north of Galveston. Prayers to the Galveston and Harris county people who are on day 9 without power 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Bluegills & other Bream >> yes they are beautiful. We used to go catching 50-100 at a time to Stripper Fish on Lake Texoma
and while I got them in shallow streams it wasn't like South Texas. Every canal has stuff to catch down there & all across
Louisiana, Miss., Ala, & Florida for that matter. I do like your fishing.. makes everyone want to fish ! Thanks for that/peace
