Coming from a small town in the USA, that was also a minning town, our library was a double wide trailor. Having a 20x20 for the library is pretty great! Also " There's a lot of places to explore, but not really much out here" is the perfect discription of a small minning town.

This looks amazing, if the gameplay holds up, I’ll be seriously impressed! Playable classrooms and graduation events that aren’t rabbitholes? Discover University might need an update after this 👀

It would be pretty cool (especially for a rags to riches type gameplay) where you redo the highschool to be a bit rundown (mismatched chairs, worse equipment etc) and then when the kid makes it out snd gets rich they “donate” to their alma mater and then you refix up the highschool and outfit it with the latest gadgets and cool stuff.

The paint on those parking spots looks to be inspired by students in their senior year (17/18 years old) who can pay for their own spots and many schools will let them paint/chalk whatever they want on them! It wasn't allowed at my school but I know people who went to a school that did allow it. Students got very creative with their spaces, lol

I wasn’t sure about the thrift store and bubble tea store being a combo lot type, but thinking about it, it could be a fun way to make two functional separate stores next to each other, which is something I’ve always wanted to do but just accepted there would be no way to do it. I think it could be impractical for some people or on some lots, but I’m excited at the idea of making something that looks like two separate stores, that is also both functional :)

Really wish they'd incorporate things like apartments into other worlds. This seems like a nice pack for some apartments, same with University.
That being said, this does look fun and I'm excited for it and the lots look nice

I agree that the boardwalk area should be a lot. It could just be a tiny lot at the front - a bar (maybe not for a teen-focused pack haha) or nightclub, but then depending on packs you could make it a cafe, karaoke bar, restaurant, etc. I think a lot of the community lots would fit the space nicely, and then it would be a win-win of an extra "real" lot and an "easy" way to travel the boardwalk if you just wanted to do boardwalk things.

It'd be cool if the bleachers were useable and you could ditch out there! Additionally, it'd be cool if you could get caught by the principal or janitor!

THERE ARE SO MANY 'LIFE IS STRANGE' REFERENCES!!! IM SO HAPPY!!!! The rich Prescotts, the Prices, the kind of Arcadia Bay-esque world. The Price's house even kind of looks like Rachel Amber's house!

James. I adore you for making chapter markers in your video but the fact you also put lot size and lot makers in it to is just *chef's kiss* thank you, thank you, thank you.

I feel like a yoga room would fit so well in the upper room of the thriftea shop

The trim on the library platform roof is the very first platform trim recolored -- The Armageddon Platform (white swatch). You can't eyedrop any platform trims unfortunately...

I think Kristina when she becomes a teen and Nina's or Angus's children would be great as the main characters in the next LP for this pack! I'd like to see some friendly rivalry or something between them

edit: I've just realised actually.. this whole 'small' town looks just like Hawkins ? Like seeing the town library and the surrounding small lots/houses.. or is it that I just have watched Stranger Things so much I'm already seeing things lmao

Jesus. That quality drop between the first house and the second house almost knocked me out.

Based on my high school I’d have to assume the decorated parking spaces are student parking. When I went to school you could pay to get your own spot and paint it

Also this does feel very small town in America. Think hocus pocus. Or Gilmore girls. Even a little bobs burgers or back to the future

This gives me life is strange vibes, especially with a Price and Prescott family

I’m excited to see the schools people make. The one they built into the game is just too huge but since they included a list of required attributes, it’ll be easy to make cool schools in a more appropriate size

I actually love this town!! The lots are giving me Granite Falls with the river side/woodlands feel which is excellent because I always wished we could live there. This world is perfect for family gameplay. I want to start in Lasuli Point, it’s so pretty!

I hope in future we get some more grassy suburban lots that actually share a fence line. It might not be “exciting” but I think we have enough spaced-out homes that are surrounded by shells/scenery. It would have been great to have three or four houses in that street with the odd sideways lot, all sharing a fence line, no shells and good for a family street.

That looks A LOT like home. It's a generic version of any town you'd find in the Gold Rush country in the foothills of California. All of those houses and designs - even the school - and the landscape scream HOME to me. There are a lot of victorian-era homes in that area, and a lot of 'old west' vibe. That corner building looks exactly like the old saloon downtown.

I mean, 1849 is when the gold rush hit, so people came flocking from the East Coast and Midwest to find their fortune, and brought their designs and cultures with them, and never left. That's where you get "miner 49er" and why that highway is called Highway 49. I grew up on that highway. There are gold mines all over the place there. I grew up next to an active mine. When they blasted with dynamite, the concussive wave would rumble under the neighborhood. I learned how to pan for gold before I turned 10. Only ever found flakes in the local creek. Mostly just dug up quartz in the yard.

When we were kids, we were told to be careful running through the hills because there were undiscovered mine shafts with ventilation holes we could fall into.

That makes me sound old, but it's really just a rural small town. Not much has changed in decades.

I live in L.A now. I rarely get to go back to where I grew up, so I may get this pack if only to have my self sim "go home." The EA team had to have modeled this after a small foothill mining town.

Small towns like the one I grew up in are a great place to retire, raise a family, or hide bodies. It's not really a place to build your life. I had to leave to discover the rest of the world, and see just how small my own world was.
