Best idea I have now is comparing to owner operator truck drivers. Many owner ops will tell you if you're looking to buy a truck you should know how to fix simple things that cost a fortune and maybe even some other harder things but you don't have to be a master mechanic! Same should go for a home. Cut those trees yourself go to Lowes buy chainsaw, rope to pull the tree branch away from house as branch falls so it doesn't damage the property lol youtube has tutorials on EVERYTHING! learn how to do basic plumbing, maintain A/C, tile, carpet or wood floors etc gardening front and back yard
