In his 4 months and a half little Gleb already had 2 operations. The baby was prematurely born - in 7 months. There were complications.

- The state became critical, the breathing stopped, the digestion stopped working. We’ve made an ultrasound and discovered the hydrocephalus.
The fluid was accumulating in Gleb’s brain. Baby needed punctures.

- It was no good, we were running across the drugstores, and we were buying. We had problems even with the catheters. Our veins are thin, catheter falls off. We’ve changed it 2 times a day.
With his family little Gleb not only suffers the disease’s hardships, he already knows how to hide from the shellings. Nataliya had to sit in the basement with the baby for numerous times.
- Closer to the wall, and when it quietens down you grab the documents, drugs, the baby and run!
Gleb needed one more operation of inserting the shunt. But because of frequent punctures baby’s got meningitis, and all the money were spent to cure the infection. Vystorop family applied to Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation and in 10 days the baby’s got a surgery.

- The foundation paid for everything, even pampers. All the drugs. You know, they say they help, but you don’t know for sure. You think is it true or not. And now reverence to the foundation. Say, I’m home now with the whole family.
12 000 hryvnyas – that was the operation’s cost. Now baby feels fine. Gleb became more quiet and he gladdens his mom with his smile.
This is a shunt: it’s inserted and goes to the abdominal cavity, and cerebrospinal fluid drops.
Today Vystorop family hopes, that Gleb won’t need any more surgeries.

- Maybe we’ll have to go to convalescent center in 2 or 3 months. It depends on his development. If everything will be good, maybe we won’t need it. And shunt can stay. It depends, maybe it’ll stay for life, we hope.
Now the main goal for Gleb and his relatives is to survive in the war conditions. The walks on the street are often accompanied with shellings.
