Donald Trump lashes out at judge after criminal conviction

Donald Trump said Americans were “living in a fascist state” and implored voters to focus on November’s election as the “most important day in history” after becoming the first former US president to be convicted.

In a defiant press conference at Trump Tower in New York on Friday morning, he insisted he would have “loved to testify” in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial and took aim at the judges, district attorney, witnesses and lawyers involved in the “rigged” case.
